I really hope so folks, but I have little confidence in the state and county nabobs who have proven time and again to be unable to resist lush "Pie in the Sky" development plans- we could all name a half dozen right off the top of out heads I'm sure. Especially if a major economic crisis erupts again (just around the corner IMO) and there's the usual jawboning for growth and jobs at any price (usually born by the average citizen). I wonder if there's any way for the Federal National Park or Forestry Service to acquire the ranch and administer it as a NP or Wilderness as it does in many mainland states? I doubt Hawaii has the resources (or competency) to do this at the state level... Too many examples over the years of: "They paved over paradise and put up a parking lot". V/R
