Point is mute, Obama just granted that current policies that do not meet the law can be kept for another year with no penalty.

Also, just to clarify. I believe that governments role is to protect the people, not be in the private market sector. They should however, have fiscal responsibility.

I appreciate you're trying your best to have the last supposedly witty word but I said search my posts, not the threads I have posted in

This is not mandatory...the insurance companies have a CHOICE to extend current policies or go forward with the ACA plans only.

Not on any practical basis.

The choice that the HI companies had was to have publicized the conflict and of course to have
dealt with it BEFORE the last minute announcement of their strategy and their preference to just
shut out this whole portion of their client base for political gain.

Watch as that comes to bite them in the shorts.

Figured...the ins co gets the blame for not being able to do what Obama has foisted on them.

No... they get the blame for waiting until the last minute to tell their customers what they were doing.

Not necessarily. First the state insurance commissioner must decide if the state will allow the plan to go forward. Most states have 60 to 90 day windows of setting rates, notifying policy holders, setting up networks etc. There isn't enough time between now and 1/1/14 to do so.

As usual regarding the ACA, Obama spoke without knowing enough information. That is what got us in this mess with his old if you like your plan clap trap.

I agree. Totally unworkable. Pure political posturing.
