I know it's all a matter of perspective, but physically, emotionally, mentally, etc., at what age (or age range) does youth terminate?
I've often heard people in their late 20s to early 30s being referred to as "kids." So, this question just piqued my interest.
You do not have to vote in the poll if you feel none of the answers are good (I can't cover all the ages/age ranges). Just contribute your own thoughts.
Voted for 50.
Possibly even 40, but many people feel still very good about their wellbeing at 40.
Here are some signs of getting old:
1. You're asleep, but others worry that you're dead.
2. Your back goes out more than you do.
3. You quit trying to hold your stomach in, no matter who walks into the room.
4. You buy a compass for the dash of your car/truck.
5. You are proud of your lawn mower.
6. Your friend is dating someone half his/her age, and isn't breaking any laws.
7. Your arms are almost too short to read the newspaper.
8. You sing along with the elevator music.
9. You enjoy hearing about other people's operations.
10. You no longer think of speed limits as a challenge.
11. People call at 9:00 p.m. and ask, "Did I wake you?"
12. You answer a question with, "Because I said so."
13. You send money to PBS.
14. The end of your tie doesn't come anywhere near the top of your pants.
15. You take a metal detector to the beach.
16. You know what the word "equity" means.
17. You can't remember the last time you laid on the floor to watch television.
18. Your ears are hairier than your head.
19. You talk about "good grass" and you're referring to someone's lawn.
20. You have a party and the neighbors don't even realize it.
I'm nearly 58 and don't think of myself as old. I can still bike, kayak, hike up mountains. Memory is shot to he!! but otherwise not bad. I'm a globetrotter. I know people who are old at 40 and many who are still young at 90. All depends.
I wouldn't refer to someone in their late 20s/early 30s as a "kid" (ridiculous), but I also don't think 50 is old... I think it's all a matter of how you feel and how you take care of yourself.

It all depends on the individual. Some are old at 20, some at 90, some never.
I vote for never.
