Yes there is!
As I am not an expert, I found out on my own research that Insomnia is a Glycemic Problem.
What does this mean?
Insomnia is caused by the constant fluctuation of sugar levels in the blood and tissues. Whenever the glucose/sugar levels are low, you body will not be able to sleep as it needs sugar. Sometimes, if you eat a chocolate before you go to sleep, you might have a 30-60 minutes window for your body to relax and to trick him to go to sleep.
Pills and medicine are good for short to medium-term but on long-term, it will not help much.
So what to do?
I think you should consider modifying your diet with by eliminating sugary food with more vegetables. Our body needs time to supplement the temporary lack of sugary food until it gets its own glucose from the fat layers. This usually takes from 2-4 weeks. It can be impossible but the benefits after doing this is nice
I keep a diet based on Michel Montignac's (french nutritionist) eating principles. It helped me with insomnia and sleeping disorders just by eating food the right way and in the right combinations (no potatoes, no fries, no sugar, no buns, no white bread, no sweets, etc.)
let me know if you are interested in a long-term sleeping recovery?
French nutritionist?? They are smart. I've been OFF breads/potatoes(white), sugar (sweets) have had no candy stuff in about 1 yr and brought no bread in this house for about 10 yrs...but occasionally eat a personal pizza, but I don't deal with insomnia but do take a combo of aids for sleeping issues which all hit me after menopause. I'm 80. Thanks.
What about the idea of putting CTO gel on my computer so I can work on it, without the blue light passing through cause the orange will filter out the blue? Has anyone tried this?
I would have to order the gel, so just wondering if it would work.

You can buy glasses that reduce the blue light. Daughter just got some for $10 on amazon.

Oh okay thanks. I have windows 7 though, so not sure if I have that but can see. Thanks.
I also eat a lot of spinach in my diet, and I read before that spinach gives you energy. Could this also be a contributor to insomnia, if I eat an energy boosting food like spinach?
If it's legal in your state try mint Breez 1/2 THC, 1/2 CBD. I think it's 5 milligrams of each - not sure - but it is very, very subtle and works like a charm.
