I had mine at ~your age and kept ovaries. No problems. When you sign the consent for surgery, read it carefully and ask for clear explanations of everything. Some surgeons include permission for an oophrectomy (removal of ovary) in addition to the hysterectomy in case the organs are more diseased/damaged that was originally thought. Be sure your husband/SO knows your wishes. They may also ask for consent to remove the appendix since they're there and it is easy. You won't miss it! Be prepared to be
