If I couldn't get hold of Socrates, I'd bring back Leonardo da Vinci and show hom the razors that change color when they're dull, an the beer cans that change color when they're cold. I bet he though that could never be done. I always hated not knowing when my razor was too dull. And yuck, there's nothing worse then opening a can of beer and then finding out that it's not cold.

id grab oscar wilde, take him to some boystown USA and have him write about all the drag queens and bears and butches...

or get harriet tubman and take her on a tour of the southside(LA), including watts and baldwin hills...
