Attachment 220839 I wanted a vase with flowers for the kitchen so I used what I had, i think it came out pretty good. I still need pillows for the window seat but I am waiting to go shopping. I am using ones from Christmas for now.
Very pretty arrangement and I like the soft colors in your kitchen too.
Super cute. We have a copper Crane weathervane, and we love it.
A weathervane isn't something that we really thought about which is why it has taken us 6 years to replace the existing one-which is just an arrow that is pointing to the ground. But, since the garage is going to be painted-FINALLY, we figured we might as well replace that. What I like about it being on the garage, is that I can look out the kitchen window as I am doing dishes and see it rather than something that only the neighbors can see.
Where did you order it from? Did you just pick it by figure or was it recommended? TY
I scoured the internet looking for the right one. I knew I wanted a cat and I wanted something that was made in the U.S. I also didn't want to pay a fortune for it because it was just something ornamental. I looked on Craigslist, eBay, and just about everywhere in between. (I was hoping to find an antique one but that didn't happen.) After looking everything, I decided on this one which was made by Montague Metal. Here is a link to their website: https://www.montaguemetal.com/weathervane-series/
I was able to find the one that I wanted cheaper on Amazon.
Oh, and the painting of garage will begin on Monday-YAY!!!!
I am trying to finish up Putting rubber mulch around the house and in all the flower beds. It takes 85 bags of mulch. I was just able to get the last 30 to complete it. I will be so glad when this project is finished. Thankfully I wont have to do it again for a long time.
Hubby is looking for projects, since his porch project is done, so has begun taking down the outside lights and spraying them black. We’ve also changed the door hardware from brass to bronze.
I’m happy that the former owners spent big bucks on very nice light fixtures and ceiling fans, but I’ve always thought the house looked like a giant piece of toast. Brick, roof and light fixtures are tan or brown. So the matte black fixtures will be a nice accent.
Here’s the “before”.
