I've never met a tub of any kind that drains in 90 seconds if it's full. I don't doubt that what you're saying is true - it's just not my experience. Collapsing in a regular shower has its problems, granted. My very large, as in extremely tall with a very big frame, neighbor collapsed and got stuck between the built-in shower seat and the shower doors.. . . paramedics/fire department had to remove the doors to get her out. Nothing is without hazards.

Hope you enjoy your future tub.

Welcome to the real world costs!

The last two houses I bought had 1 piece fiberglass tub + surround - easily removed, an old woman could do it. (I made sure that was the case; half the cost of replacing). Just make sure if next to the toilet, the drain is on the wall opposite the toilet, if you want a walk-in.

No, you could get the bathrrom remodeled with a walk in shower with a bench for less than that.
