WOW! I recently moved to Houston from the northeast 2 months ago, and I seriously have not been able to shut up to my friends and family from back home about how OVERWHELMINGLY, super nice, helpful, and kind every person is here in Houston! It's just been blowing my mind. Every day I'm on the phone with someone from back home, going on and on about how awesome Houston is and all of its super nice people....but now after reading this thread... :-(

Welcome to Houston buddy. Don't worry, not everyone is like that. some people just need getting used to how quickly Houston grew.

I'm in the same boat, moved here a year ago... I even posted a thread recently detailing how great I think the city is and barely anyone responded but people go on and on about how terrible things are here!

A place is what you make it. Cities can change for the better; which IMO applies to Houston.
