If you're not afraid to try Salvadorian food there's La Pupusa Loca over on Hillcroft between Bellaire and Bissonnet. Best pupusas I've had anywhere in town. They don't cook them until you order so it takes a little longer but well worth the wait.

easily amused, there is good authentic cuban in houston, my adopted in laws are cuban and the first time I took them there, they cried. Now anytime the family has a BD, they end up there.

eh la puposa loco is not the best pupusa i've had. too thick and too much cheese for what it really should be. im still on the hunt for the best. pupusas as they are supposed to be are too good to settle for mediocre!
