If you have 200K to 500K homes, which pearland does...it's considered upscale..lol

considering Pearland kinda developed around rural areas or older which looks to remain rural, its an area that struggles to obtain an "upscale" look as it was treeless to begin with while The Woodlands was built on trees and had more land to take in quickly they could landscape..

They are building a new hospital there, so you will get be new restaurants around Pearland. There is a reason there are a lot of restaurants in The Woodlands, Sugarland, or Katy, it is because they have a lot of big employers. Having a hospital is going to draw a lot of restaurants, I believe having a big hospital at Memorial City Mall revitalized the area. An upscale restaurants are those that offer valet parking, I think Kirby's is the only one that offers that from the list.

There's always been a hospital at MemCit.
It was the i-10 expansion that opened up a lot of new retail opportunities, eliminating old strip malls. The areas just behind there were already strong neighborhoods with high price tags.

Killen's Steakhouse in Pearland just got rated one of the best steakhouses in the country. That definitely counts for something.

Hey, if it's any consolation at least your business signs aren't moronically mandated to be set up to be no taller than 8 inches so outsiders have to drive past their destination 100 times, turn around, miss it again....(or are they?!?).

If only people would stop stealing his stuff. First briskets stolen right off the pit while cooking and then the entire $8k pit. Then the idiot who stole it tried to say he found it to collect the $5k reward.
