That pool is beautiful ! What is the ball park figure to build something like this ? Just to get an average as we are looking at houses with pool in it .

I called Grand Isle twice and left messages but never heard back from them.
I spoke with Ocean Blue Pools but they fell off the face of the earth before Christmas when I was trying to setup an appointment. I've sent 2 emails to the salesmen and have heard nothing. Picasso pools didnt even want to make the trip out for a bid!

I'm so far not impressed with the over communication of the pool industry. When looking to spend 50-70k on a pool having to make multiple calls or emails is a sure way to get removed from the list of potential builders.

I'm waiting on quotes from Austin Custom Pools and Bluebonnet Pools but would like to get 1 or 2 more bids.
Give Cobalt Custom Pools a call too. They do great work and are very responsive. Clint is the owner 832-758-0331. (I am not affiliated with them. Just know they build a nice pool).

Wow, beautiful! Love the negative edge! Looks like it's going to be an amazing space for y'all.

See you have a nice big tanning ledge - if there was one thing I would change on my pool, it would be to make the first step a bit bigger. We weren't fussed about the tanning ledge as the wife and I don't ever use them (if we're tanning we're on a lounger on the deck) but we underestimated how much our little boy likes to be on it. We have a small beached entry into it and he absolutely loves playing on it and with the bubblers (he loves the whole pool tbh - best investment ever in terms of him using it and being happy).

You should post progress pics on it - either here or on one of the pool forums. People love to see the construction.

Good luck with it all - hope it exceeds all your expectations. We've loved building and then being able to use ours.

Thanks.

I'm actually looking at purchasing a time lapse camera so I can get the entire build as a video.

Pedro,

In the first pic, what is the area to the right of the pool will be? It looks lower than the rest of the pool..

We are looking to build one in 2-3 years, waiting on the youngest one to be a little older.

That is the catch basin for the negative edge (waterfall). The water will go over the negative edge to that mini-pool where a pump will circulate it back to the main pool.

I looked into it and would have loved to have done it, but didn't have a good place to put the camera in the house where I could capture the whole build due to the layout of the house and the positioning of the pool.

I think they're very cool to watch.
