Has any one used this builder in firethorne or any other neighborhood? I also know they are zoned to Lamar Isd. Can current firethorne parents shed light on their experience with the schools and neighboorhood? Thanks

Default Ashton woods west firethorne

We bought a Ashton woods home in west firethorne. We love it here. We are in the 50 ft lots. They are now on the 60s but our contractor told us there will be another 50s section. It will range from 50s to the 80s. Lots of variety.although prices have gone up a lot. I hear the 60s are close to the 400 range. But I have a 18 month old so can't help with the school situation yet. But from what I hear the new school will be finished in 2019. I teach in catholic school in Houston/Bellaire area so my son will go with me prob until kinder than I will put him in lamar at the new school for 1st grade. Hope this helps. But I love our builder we built the Thornton home. They have a model in willow creek farms. I love my house!!

We live in a Plantation home in the 60 ft section. Love our house. I will say that whatever Ashton Woods is offering over here is working- sold signs for them are popping up everywhere. I say that as compared to the other builders in the 60 and 70 ft sections (Perry, Coventry, Plantation, Highland, Ravenna)- can't speak to the other size lots.

I built an Ashton Woods home in another neighborhood, I've had all kinds of problems and their default setting is to deny all responsibility. My house is definitely worth less than it should be because of the sloppy workmanship of their contractors. I wouldn't build another home with them again.

Unfortunately, this isn't the first time I have heard a similar story about them. Far from it.

Not sure about the above comments, but I just don't like a lot of their designs. They over-niche the damn place. Niches, arches, tray ceilings--inside of tray ceilings. It is a bit too much. Trying to put too much lipstick on the pig.

Not a fan either. Noticed that their inventory homes don't sit for long, so I assume they discount them pretty well.
