I think it's ok. My neighbors have this ivy ring around one of their windows and it looks ok too. But your Memorial pictures remind me of the old Clear Lake. Except there are sidewalks here. It's a lot of the same type of architecture w/ the mature trees. The 90s Weekley style is basically my house & our neighborhood. Our trees just need about 20 more years on them.

I could never do that...too many years of conditioning of my parents yelling at me to get out of the street!

How crowded do the paths in Terry Hershey and George Bush get? I like to bicycle at a pretty fast clip and cannot do that if the paths are crowded. Up here there are certain paths I can cycle on safely and some others I can only use safely during the week. Or I get the mountain bike out, which slows me down, and can ride around the pods of people on the grass. I like the paths during the week so I do not have to compete with rush hour traffic and will hit the roads on weekends. THANKS FOR THE PHOTOS! Truly helpful for Houston wannabe's like me.

I don't know about George Bush. Terry Hershey isn't that crowded. Mainly because there's little to no public parking for it. The trails are good, but you share with the walkers and families with kids on bikes, however there aren't many. There's a great "Quail Trail" up high that most people who have dogs walk and the moutain bikers use.

But, you aren't supposed to go more that 10 MPH when around pedestrains. Signs are everywhere. And really it's a park path, not the Tour de France.

I beleive they have more right to the path than I do. I do ride fast, but courteous. I have kids and know they can be unpredictable. If its packed with other users, mountain bike time. But hopefully late afternoon, when it's too hot for many, I can get a ride in on the road bike. Good to know about the parking. I have read about a new lot by Hwy 8 that will be built in conjunction with the widening project. THANKS
