Thanks for the link, Dude. I have a relative waiting in a hotel to go on-shift at the hospital. He'll find that helpful.

Here is a link to some codes to help decipher their conversations. Police codes - The RadioReference.com Forums

Limestone county has a feed, but I found there wasn't enough activity to keep me entertained.

Around 6 inches here in my area of Lincoln County--one of the few times it seems snow depths are deeper the further south you go.

Getting some kind of sleety-type stuff falling now.

First time in years we can break out the snow saucers from when we lived out west...

Monday afternoon ~ 2pm here in Madison. Was up shuffling snow in the driveway this morning, but the neighbors were busy play snowballs & building snowman.

Here's a question, why don't people shuffle snow in the driveway? Is it because you can't go anywhere anyway? <shrug>

I grew up on the east coast and we always shuffle snow, preferably right when the snow is still puffing and light, so when it freezes overnight it will be a bigger pain to shuffle.

That's it exactly--because we're not going anywhere anyway. And lots of people don't own snow shovels. We're fine to sit at home with our milk and bread and wait for it to melt.

Usually in Alabama snow last about 24 hours if that....no need to shovel, because it will be gone in a day....

This time, it may stay for more than a few....but right now it's already melting...

We gave our snow shovel away when we moved back down south. Oops!

Shoveling snow is a great work out though. Wish I kept it.

Also Zenn - that's fantastic work!

Yes, many consider moving snow to be a great work out, but many heart attacks have been brought on by shoveling snow when out of physical shape to do so. Not to mention the hurt backs and falls. If you are shoveling be careful.
