The net immigration, the incoming vs. the outgoing, was a whopping 65 people.

I've always known folks move away quite often, but from this report, it appears a lot more moved out than I ever thought about.
That's quite an interesting article and dataset to crunch. Seems Texas is the one with a mass migration...unsurprisingly. I highly suspected Texas was quietly having a mass exodus...heck other than my wife and I there are a few others who are in the early to middle stages of relocation outta here like us.

Interesting, however I would be more interested in knowing those numbers from January forward as that article was dated 12/2020.

There is no way I can believe any of those numbers.

For instance it says there was a net gain of only 121 people for Colorado, yet actual population increased by more than 50,000 in 2020.

And that's just the legal ones!

Ok, so, this site if these totals are accurate are pretty scary when looking at them at a whole. I just don't know how the western states can survive with this much migration from CA and expect to keep their state's original identity and culture all-the-while not turning in to their landscape that caused the migration to begin with. Some of these totals are quite ... telling. I added two wild cards, AK and SD and was a bit surprised...

Wyoming very interesting in the population chart had more people leave than coming in if I read it correctly. CA also had alot people leave and had population added coming in too.
