Yep, that's right all you naysayers, amnesty has been defeated once and for all in the Senate by a margin of 53 NO's to 46 YEA's, easily defeating the motion for cloture. It is officially....DEAD, and no it will not be brought up again. Harry Reid made that clear. They will now be moving on to other business. Last I checked Sen. Byrd is talking about his old age, back to regular programming. I could update this page but you guys will have to vote for cloture.

Make sure to thank all the Senators who voted NO on this sham. As soon as I see the official roll call I will post it on here. Also, El Presidente Bush will be speaking soon on the fate of his immigration bill (bet he feels stupid), as well as some prominent Dems and Repubs. There are A LOT of Republican Senators that better run FAR, FAR, AWAY before next election cycle it won't be pretty. Examples: Graham, McCain, Kyl, Lott, etc.

He could have saved himself a lot of embarrassment if he just dedicated 3 hours a day.

Ok, we won this time, but can we afford to go back to business as usual? What about border security? What about enforcing existing immigration laws? I urge you to use this momentum to push for real enforcement of border security and immigration laws. If we don't do anything now, the cycles of more illegals and more amnesty Bills will continue endlessly.

I agree. We do need to keep up the pressure. I'm sure the illegal immigrant supporters will try to come out with something new.
