i wouldnt mind that happening. i doubt the number of defectors would be great, or even noticeable.
In many cases though it wouldn't be about loyalty to this country but rather that they know where their bread and butter comes from and that we are the stronger nation militarily.
Far too many aren't American in their hearts and that is where it really counts.
you are saying this about citizens?
with no backing X's 10
ya reminds me of what they said about japanese americans during WWII...

Fit right in with the American way...how about Lindbergh and the American First? That the kind of loyalty you are looking for?
to be honest, dual citizenship should be disbanded. if countries like india have laws that clearly state one cannot hold any other citizenhip IF they wish to hold an indian citizenship, the US can enact such ruling.

Neither India or the US has the power to ban dual citizenship...

Many of Mexican ancestry have already proven that their hearts are with Mexico and the Mexican people by sticking up for illegals, marching along side of them and waving the Mexican flag in protest of our immigration laws and you know it. They even call their fellow Americans who oppose their amnesty agenda, bigots and racists. How about those Chicano, reconquisata's? They are citizens of this country yet they want to start their own Aztlan country within our borders and reject much of our culture and history. The Japanese Americans didn't do any of those things.

It is my understand that when taking the oath of citizenship in this country one has to denounce any allegience to any other country. However, other countries do allow dual citizenship with this country and their own such as Mexico for example.

Poor guy...pure anti paroaganda. Virtually no truth.
And note, for the record, they can advocate whatever the hell they want. They are Americans.
If you want to know what Hispanicsz actually advocate never ask an anti.
As long as the USA can strip citizenship and deport naturalised citizens, those entitled to dual citizenship will continue to hold their orignal citizenship.
It doesn't mean they don't feel American or their loyalty is not to this country, but you can't blame them for hedging their bets given lack of trust in government here.
Lke unbrainwashed, we'll be making sure my American citizen grandkids are also registered as Australian births abroad (by virtue of their mother's citizenship)
The USA government CAN NOT strip citizenship, only if it was obtained through fraud.

True and it used to be that you could lose your USA citizenship if you had another citizenship, vote in foreign elections, serve in a foreign military.
However there was a case back in the 60s where a American Jew went to Israel for a while lived there and voted in their elections. When he went to get his passport renewed it was denied, rightly. He sued and SCOTUS ruled that citizenship cannot be taken away. It was odd because a few years before a similar case involving a Mexican national went the other way.
