Every day you see the vehicles with Mexican license plates filled with suitcases and belongings, the trucks piled high with furniture and headed north. They're pouring over the border. Yes many of course have shopping visas and cross legally but they're not living here legally.
As interesting as these anecdotes are, the data shows slower migration across the border, primarily due to improvements in Mexico.

Actually the immigration rate was up in 2010 but yes more of it may be from Central America than before.

Read up on the number of people fleeing Juarez. And most don't flee to Mexico City where there are no programs to support them, they come to the USA. All you would have to do is take a look at the streets of El Paso and check out how many Mexican license plates you see.

We already have a legal immigration process. However, if you are suggesting we should lower our standards, and simply grant visas to everyone who wishes to live or work here, that is not even feasible, let alone beneficial to this country. Furthermore, in the real world, they will continue to work under the table, and continue to evade taxes. After all, they have absolutely zero respect for our laws. Sorry, but your proposal is a pipe dream.

That's a pretty big assumption, that every Mexican license plate is an illegal immigrant.

Actually a lot of them have shopping passes and of course many will soon give birth here and have their anchor baby that will pave their way into the welfare offices and so on.

In reality "this man" was caught, and is now back in Mexico. Others that "enter our country" will likely have the same fate. The status quo is like that, if there are no changes, it pretty much gives the same results.

Sounds like we need another plan...

Unless they have a magical illegal alien counter at the border, it is impossible to determine the number of illegal entries. Everything is based on conjecture, which is precisely why the government has no idea how many illegals are here, or how many have left. They throw these garbage studies at the public to give the appearance of having a clue, when they know damn well they are pulling figures out of the sky. Illegal immigration is like an untreated cancer, it continues to spread, until it kills.

That is the underlying problem. There are more Mexicans/other illegal aliens that want to come here than we can accomodate in jobs and resources while keeping check on our population growth also. The pro-illegals think the answer is to just let everyone in that wants to come here just as long as they are checked in at the border. Just how crazy is that?
