I think it is funny seeing the federal government use the same strategy to defend illegal immigrants. Eventually, they aren't going to win and the tables will turn. Upon reading the Alabama bill, I really don't see why the federal government is suing. Besides, the federal government knows that it isn't doing enough to help the states with their overpopulation of illegal immigrants. What do they expect these states to do? Of course, the states are going to come up with their way of dealing with the effects of illegal immigration.

Take the measure in the bill that tells school systems to check the documents of students in the public schools. How is this going over the heads of the federal government? This allows Alabama to know exactly how many illegal immigrants are in the school so they can further argue that the numbers of illegal immigrants is really costing them.

Well at least we know Obama isn't winning Georgia, Arizona, or Alabama. (Not that he would have anyways).

Obama has constantly violated his sworn oath to defend the Constitution and uphold the laws of the land. He should be impeached. Holder and Napolitano should be fired.

Gosh enough already, will they never cease to stop. What will they do take all 50 States if they had to?

The federal government doesn't want us to know the severity and costs of illegal immigration to our states, therefore they sue any state that takes steps to help themselves through enforcement and to bring that knowledge to the public.

Doesn't he realize that Alabama is just doing the job that the federal government wouldn't do?

Its only going to get worse and worse everyone. With Obama at the helm he will do everything to cater to hispanics and illegals to win the 2012 election.

This argument is basically an admission that the feds should win this case, FWIW.
