Sure did. Clearly states illegal immigrant mothers come here to give birth, which was my point. Don't worry, I'll find another link which I'm sure you'll try to discredit. Sorry, I was short on time and that's what I found in the time I had to look. And as per your quote, the study you highlighted was done in the 1980's, think things might have changed a little since then? Do you honestly believe that illegal immigrant mothers don't come here soley to give birth WHILE 9 MONTHS PREGNANT?
Ever heard of Birth Holidays. Korean travel agencies have a whole industry which focuses on bringing pregnant women here just to give birth so their children will have U.S. citizenry. I am so sick and tired of some people here saying this practice of granting automatic citizenship to anyone born here is fair. It is the parents who decide to come and have their babies here knowing of it's benefits. I imagine even if we change the law, illegal aliens will continue to have babies here, not for the citizenry of their children, but because of the free healthcare. Anyway you slice it, illegal immigrants are abusing the system. In case anyone hasn't noticed, we do have poor and working class American citizens here in this country who don't qualify for any kind of assistance because they make 20,000 a year (disqualifies them). I imagine that number is so preposterously low is because of what we must pay to care for illegal immigrants in our healthcare system. As far as Mexicans saying they don't want to send their children back to squalid Mexico, ask them why the richest man in the world is a Mexican and why can't he help his own countrymen out. Illegal immigrants want a better life is so true, they don't want to have to shop at Wal Mart (yes they are in Mexico), they want to shop at Abercrombie and Fitch. Trust me I have seen them all hooked up with nice clothes and nice cars, all at the expense of Americans who won't work in an industry that has been undercut wage wise by these poor poor peasants trying to save America
