Mexico, 13 of January.- The Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD) in the Federal District initiated the collecting of signatures in support of the national day called by Elvira Arellano in favor of the rights of the Mexican migrants in the United States.

Upon heading the act, the secretary general of the PRD, Carlos Reyes Gámiz, indicated that the signatures will be delivered to the U.S. Congress “to declare us in favor of immigration reform and against the human rights violations of the migrants that cross the border”. He indicated that the goal of the campaign called by the Mexican activist in support of the migrants is to obtain in Mexico City, 500 thousand signatures.

To add, he announced that next Wednesday they will meet with Unions and social organizations in order to begin to multiply this effort. The party leader said that they will seek to obtain the signatures in public places, such as the Chapultepec Park, in Mexico City, the Church of Guadalupe, bus terminals and shopping centers. It is expected that in the middle of February the campaing will do its first count.

This woman is a mother to a very confused little boy - shouldn't she be focusing her energy on taking care of his needs instead of these ridiculous attention-***** antics?

I really don't understand why our government would even accept these signatures. Mexico needs to concentrate on their country, and leave the U.S. alone. They should be satisfied with the billions in remittances, and the ridiculous benefits their citizens are receiving from U.S. taxpayers.

I agree, Don'tH8 . . . Elvira is a piece of work and one pitiful loser.

Why is she not focusing her time and energy on supporting her own child which she claims she loves so much rather than "pot banging" to get back into the FREEBIE and ILLEGAL LIFESTYLE here in the United States?

what these lowlifes NEED to do.. is gain signatures.. present them to thier OWN government.. THIER OWN MEXICAN GOVERNMENT.. demanding better conditions in THIER OWN COUNTRY instead of feeding off of us Americans!

We already let 2 million a year come over by way of work permits..
there is NOT 20 million JOBS for them.. There will NEVER be enough of ANYTHING for them.. give amnesty to the estimated 20 million.. and we will end up with 40 million more! Then in a few years.. another 20 million.. and so-on. We all know this is the reality... keep giving, we will KEEP PAYING!

Human rights violations? HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS?!! What on earth is she babbling about? The only human rights violations I'm aware of are committed by coyotes.

Furthermore, none of those who sign the petition are within US jurisdiction. Our government representatives listen to us because we vote them into or out of office. Mexicans can't vote for US officials. Wait...I'm sure Elvira is collecting signatures as I type in an effort to expand voter rolls to include Mexicans.
