It is no secret that Hispanics are more prone to gangs, especially when they live in the bad neighborhoods. The parents didn't bring him here, he was born here.
Hum..........how about a little history lesson.
Anybody ever hear of the Amboy Dukes, the Purple gang,
The Mob, What about Jesse James or the Dalton Gang.
Gangs have always came from low income and low education backgrounds.
Remove the group from the poverty and the gangs will diminish.
Now I'm not going liberal here so dont worry bout that
but its axiomatic the evolution of gangs with each racial class........

As you stated.
And; 'back in the day', it was the US born first generation (of any ethnicity) that tended to be gangbangers-------they did not have the perspective of how bad things truly were in their parents' countries of origin.

There is a correlation between recent immigrants and poverty. You think an illegal immigrant can afford to live in beverly hills upon arriving? It is not only that they live in poverty in ghettos, it is either they join the gang or they become a target. Simple as that.

Think about this anchor babies are produced by illegals. Why dont you think they are responsible to pay for their own childs education. We are already spending 6 billion a year supporting them. US citizens are fighting tooth an nail putting their children through college. Unless you are collecting these benefits you will understand.

Wasn't the OP about "in state tuition"? That would mean they pay tuition, not having the government pay their tuition.
While I'm not in favor of illegals being on the public dole, I don't see how anyone can claim someone born and raised in a particular state doesn't qualify for in-state tuition. Right now you only have to live in our state for a year before qualifying for in-state so being here your whole life (and a US citizen to boot) seems to qualify.
Glad to hear this worked out for the boy.
