does this sound fair to you?

it doesn't to these students.

“Why do they get to pay less when I’ve got to pay more?” one student said, while another added, “What do you get for living here all your life legally instead of coming here illegally? I just don’t think that’s fair.”

Citing US Code 1623, which states that anyone who is not legally a citizen cannot be entitled to any benefit that is denied to a citizen of the United States, some have questioned whether those here illegally should be offered in-state tuition rates that aren’t available to other students who are citizens. Currently, 18 states, offer some form of a pathway for in-state tuition to those living here illegally.

Illegals are becoming more and more important as a voting base since they are growing in numbers so they must be given preferential treatment over citizens

Do you know what in-state means? They offer in-state tuition to undocumented who graduated IN STATE. Why would you extend the same to someone who graduated OUT OF STATE?

Wouldn't you rather they are educated with a desirable degree?

States are not able to determine who is here legally and who is not.

i know what it means - clearly you do not. it means you are a legal resident of the state in question.

that's why i was able to get in-state tuition in TX after extablishing residency by working/paying taxes for a year in that state, despite not having graduated there.

That's correct, no illegals vote. But there are LOTS of legal hispanics with relatives here illegally and more still south of the border who want to come into the US. Using the cartels is too risky though.

So when the Dems say they're fine with open borders, sanctuary cities and work against ICE, most of the Hispanics continue vote for whoever the DNC nominee is for obvious reasons.

I've worked with MANY legal Hispanics here in Southern California for the past 20+ years. Most of them still have cousins, aunts & uncles that want to come to the US for better living conditions and jobs.

The Democrats do not want to lose those currently voting for them. That was the whole idea behind sanctuary cities. It keeps many Hispanics very happy.

You're right. I also moved states, established residency and waited so I could pay in-state tuition. Same goes for undocumented based on certain criteria. Comparing them to someone trying to go to school out of state is apples and oranges.

I don't see how illegals can't vote...is citizenship documents required at polling stations?
