CARROLLTON, Texas - Maria Martinez' attempt to land a cafeteria job at a suburban Dallas hospital got her arrested, jailed and deported. She did use a counterfeit social security on her application to Trinity Medical Center, but her relatives and supporters wonder whether the hospital overreacted by calling the police.
During yet another year marked by several high profile immigration raids targeting both undocumented workers and the companies who hire them, the Martinez case raises questions about what employers can or should do if they discover an applicant is not authorized to work legally in the U.S.
A spokeswoman for the medical center here contends the hospital was simply following policy and has a responsibility to report criminal activity, including possible identity theft.

yes a lil jumpy. problem is when the government participates in illegality it gets even fuzzier for the people. admin has been running an under the table NAFTA for a long time. labor busting and sellout of the people. they are the leaders the good guys. why doesn't it feel that way.

just for the record, obama and mccain both support "amnesty" bills and both pandered to "la rasa" which advocates for open borders.
the problem goes beyond that. even in texas we have amnesty cities, and dallas is one i believe. Garland even built (with tax payer money?) a day labor center, which is used by illegals as a place to get hired.
this problem is not going anywhere anytime soon. as a matter of fact, i believe it will get worse before it gets better...if it ever does
Yeah, sure. Nothing like voting for a man who believes in partial birth abortion(murder) and who attended a racist church for 20 years that preached hate towards America and white people. He also claimed this racist man was his spiritual leader/adviser?
I'm not crazy about McCain either but no way in hell would I vote for Obama.

yea that is because the US and canada are going to merge into one state. All Canadians and Mexicans will become US citizens. That is why we are building a NAFTA superhighway.
The only reason they go and bust people now and then is to make it look like the government is doing something - they aren't. My brother was a boarder patrol scout (with the national guard) who assisted the BP. They would catch immigrants all the time. Even though they caught them and deported them they would find them again shortly after using the same path. Finding pregnant women crossing was very common. What they do is have one of their family members go to the US to look for work. Once he finds work and secures a place to stay he brings the rest of the family in. Usually the rest of the family will stay in Mexico until their other family member has a job for them. Also pregnant women will wait until a couple months before they are due and then immigrate so they can give birth in the US.
By giving them free healthcare and education we are only subsidizing them. The government subsidizes them for a reason. When you subsidize something you get more of it. It is no shock that we are experiencing an influx of illegal immigrants into this country.

If voting changed anything you wouldn't be allowed to vote. Voting is just there to make you think you have a choice, you don't. Mccain, obama give a good show that they are different but deep down their main agendas are the same. Only the trivial (pointless) stuff will change.

I'm afraid I skipped the whole Obama post here since it seems hardly relevant to the original question. . .
I for one totally agree with what the hospital did. The woman committed a crime in buying a fake SS card and attempting to falsify her identity. Of course, that is in addition to her crime of being in this country illegally. People are peeved at the hospital at being over zealous about reporting a crime because they are not REQUIRED to do so??
Does that mean that when I see theft or assault occuring I shouldn't bother calling 911 since no one requires me to do so?? Odd line of logic . . . if the law doesn't say you absolutely must then surely you have no business getting involved!!

Nice point. I wonder if the same people who are complaining about this hospital would care if their house burned down and no one called the fire department because they weren't "required to". Illegal aliens have become the cause celeb in the United States. It is time we take a stand......Immigrate to this country legally the same way almost all of our grandparents and great grandparents did or get deported back to where you came from.
