Well, the warning was "to ascertain that where you eat hires only American Citizens, and not Illegal Aliens that have not had any proper health care screening". When was the last time you, as a good clean American citizen, were screened for tapeworms when you applied for a job? Or any time for that matter?

They should though, especially if the person is some sort of an immigrant.
You know, long ago, back in the early 70s and late 60s, when I wnet for restaurant jobs while I was in college, they asked us to have a TB test...via a chest x-ray. Everyone who wanted jobs working with food had to back in those days.

No the claim is that some may carry communicable diseases because:
1. they were not screened before entry.
2. They were not vaccinated.
This is why immigrants are supposed to be screened before entry. To protect US citizens.

Some people do not care about the citizens of this country and their loyalties seem to lie with the illegals before their own country.
In the spirit of staying on topic, which was cysticercosis (the corrected spelling), here's some information from a reputable source, the CDC:
You are far more likely to get Hepatitis A or C from restaurant food than you are likely to get a tapeworm. Hep A, by introducing fecal matter onto raw food, which can be done by anyone who's that disgusting regardless of their immigration status. Hep C is at epidemic proportions, and if your infected prep/line cook cuts his finger and even a tiny amount of blood gets in your food, you can be infected. Hepatitis C can live outside the body for days, unlike HIV, and it knows no border, immigration status or nationality. 200 million people worldwide are infected, 4 million in the U.S. It is the leading cause of liver transplants in the U.S., and 20,000 people a year die from it.
Enjoy your trip to the salad bar, don't eat water contaminated with feces or raw pork, and don't worry about getting cysticercosis unless you already have a tapeworm. You're much more likely to get Hepatitis C, which is fatal.

Does it really matter what contagious diseases illegal aliens may spread? The fact of the matter is there are millions of unscreened illegal aliens in contact with the citizens of this country on a daily basis. We have no idea what we are being exposed to. Nor do we know the identities of many illegal aliens who may be contagious given their propensity for identity theft, document forgery, and aliases. If a citizen is infected by an illegal, where shall we look for the culprit? What “shadows†should we investigate? Perhaps that explains the “epidemic†you reference in your post.
I can't believe your flippant attitude. Hopefully, you or a loved one won’t unwittingly become infected during one of YOUR trips to the salad bar. Let’s see how “cheery†you are then.

The health screening for restaurants is a joke. It's basically just a questionnaire, where you circle answers for a short set of questions.
Restaurants require a health card given by the local county Health Department.
You pay 11 bucks and fill out a questionnaire, and take your card back to your employer.
If that's the procedure, I will be contacting Congress. This is totally unacceptable.
