Finally, the voice of reasoning, I agree, it is a mockery that these illegal immigrants come here with a welcoming carpet once they set foot on USA soil, first we make sure they get hotel-like accomodations, including designer clothing ond gourmet meals, then we give them a health insurance card, and as much welfare money as they wish, then we advice them to not engage in gainful employment because that can be detrimental to their well being, since our home grown people work their butts-off in the fields, so that our immigrants don't have to do it......
If the prisoners work the fields how much do you think they would earn per hr or day ? Also keep in mind prison guards will be watching them like a hawk so no one trys to escape. Lets not forget the 1967 paul newman movie "cool hand luke".
No misconception at all. Many Mexicans think that the southwest was stolen from them and you know it. This philosphy still carries on with many American born of Mexican ancestry who are referred to as Chicanos. You admitted it yourself in an above post. As I said the immigrants of European extraction did not harbor such grievances. I would say that most immigrants and not just Mexicans do not come here wanting to make a contribution as their initial reason but for their own economic or personal gain. I am not saying that is neither good nor bad as many do learn to love our country after living in it for awhile. But a reality check is in order here.

fact Native americans were terratorial even amoung their own perspective nations. To trespass would result in a brutal death, torture or enslavement if caught. That is the reality.

Oh, I see so several tribes roamed the continent and some mainly stayed in their own territories but that means in today's world they are all entitled to roam the whole continent? Nothing like living in the past even though the continent has been divided up into several individual countries with borders for several hundred years now. Whatever you say, Mr. Reconquista. By the way the ancestoral tribes of the Mestizo Mexicans were the Aztecs and Mayans and they never lived this far north. We have treaties with the tribes native to this country and they aren't the ancestors of the Mexicans.

Not anymore; we now have 'newer' indigenous people AKA Americans and Mexicans. Somehow I doubt that Mexico or the USA really appreciates illegal aliens traipsing around.
Actually; it would behoove Mexico to get its house in order i.e. cripple the drug cartels for starters or we (the USA) may wind up finishing off which was left undone in 1848. One of the worst things that we need is a failed nation with a land border next to us.

DENVER - Colorado is considering letting prison inmates work on private farms after farmers complained that an illegal-immigration crackdown has left them short-handed, officials said.
Two vegetable farmers told prison officials and lawmakers that they need five to 20 workers and will pay up to $9.60 an hour _ more than they've paid migrant workers in the past _ but can't find anyone to do the work.
The Pueblo Country farmers, Joe Pisciotta and Phil Prutch, said immigrant workers are afraid to come to Colorado because of its tougher immigrant laws passed last summer. Among other things, the laws require people receiving state and federal benefits to prove they are legal U.S. residents.
And Americans complain they don't pay enough and there are no jobs.
