Anything and everything that we can do to make life more difficult, more risky, makes them think about self deportation more. Every battle that we win to make life hard for the illegal is a gain. It will be accumulative and it will work.

Here in North Carolina one must have insurance BEFORE you can get your driver's license.

You also must have insurance BEFORE you can purchase or renew a car's license plates.

The second is true the first is not. You only need to get insurance if you plan to drive a private vehicle. If you want a license, do not have a vehicle and only drive "fleet vehicles" you do not need proof of insurance.

Additionally, in most cases auto insurance requires a valid driver's license so the insurance company may check the driving record of the applicant. The only common exception is among teen drivers who are on their parents' insurance.

The vehicle you test in must be insured

My point is this will not stop any of those illegals from driving, cops are not going to pull 47k people over and jail them. This won't change a thing.
Yet those same cops can ticket and jail American citizens? The illegals caught driving without registrations, licenses, and insurance should simply be deported. They have no right to be here, they have no right to drive on our roads, most cannot read the signs because they're written in English and that makes them very dangerous for others on the roads.

Generally, it's either insured under one's parents if one is young or insured with the driver if they are moving between states.

In North Carolina though if you want to operate a "fleet vehicle" such as a taxi or delivery van you can get a license...you just cannot operate a non fleet vehicle, because in that case you are not covered.

Much the less reading a hazard or amber alert.
