A Senate panel approved a far-reaching bill designed to combat illegal immigration, including allowing police to stop and actually arrest anyone they just reasonably believe is in this country illegally.

If this bill passes; which is likely in this deep recession, if I were here illegally, I would be vamoosing from Arizona ASAP
This is a wise decision, considering the mammoth deficit AZ is facing thanks to illegal immigration. If all states would follow suit, we could tremendously reduce illegal immigration. I haven’t noticed many AZ tags lately, so hopefully they aren’t fleeing here.

I have a very strong premonition that quite a few more states-----------including California will have something similar on the books within the year

Harboring a criminal IS a criminal offense. I googled the question, "Is harboring an illegal alien a criminal offense?" This is the first link in the search: Aiding, abetting, harboring, encouraging illegals a felony

Probably fleeing to my state of Calif. Home of the PC liberals. Although I am starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel with our governor's latest remarks about illegal immigration.

I think the catch here would be "did you knowingly do it"? It would have to be proved. Many employers have gotten off the hook by claiming they didn't "knowlingly" hire an illegal alien.
