Here's a sample of the daily discussions from the DREAMAct PORTAL.

Really worried...
Hello fellow dreamies, I am new to the forum, but have been checking the site a few times a week over the last few months. I was hoping you guys could help me because i have a problem that I think might be serious. I have been attending a California CC since Fall 06, but the problem is that I "lied" in my application and claimed to be a citizen not knowing the possible consequences in doing so. I simply wasn't aware there were other options.

Would it be possible to change that now and adjust my status to AB540? Did I unknowingly screw myself over if DA passes? Can you or do you know someone who could help?

Any input good or bad would be greatly appreciated.

No, because they are nothing more than second generation criminals.

With that said, I'm not gonna lie. I feel bad for them. But rewarding criminal conduct isn't the right road to go down in any shape or form.

ITA. They have grown up living lives filled with lies, deceit and criminal actions. They have multiple identities and schemes that have enabled them to remain in this country illegally for a number of years. Additionally, nobody knows who any of these people really are. I'm still trying to figure out how granting them citizenship will change who they have become. The old saying a leopard never changes its spots comes to mind.

That quoted post sure explains the palpable fear masquerading as arrogant machismo from our fresh crop of Trolls uh (probable) DREAMie losers here on City Data the last few weeks.

No, of course not. It would be discrimination against those foreign students who do things the right way, to slap them with out-of-state tuition rates, and require them to obtain student visas if lawbreakers are rewarded.

Bingo. They are indeed, felons without conviction. Yet they are portrayed as innocent victims of the indiscretions of their criminal parents. Not only have they learned from criminal minded masters, the reality is that they have become their parents.

No Dream Act.. There are many struggling students in the U.S. who go into debt taking out loans to pay for college, why should criminals receive a free ride?

Of course NOT! Foreign students who play by the rules are required to pay higher rates than citizens; so why should we give preferential treatment to illegal aliens? I will not support any bill that will grant amnesty to illegal aliens.

Notice the DREAMies won’t touch a thread if the topic is the DREAM Act, because they hope it will fall to the bottom of the page. That’s one of the rules in DREAMland.
