BUalumni is on a distinguished road
I grew up in Tazewell (Illinois), then to Dupage (Illinois), moved to Hamilton (Indiana), and now reside in Peoria (Illinois). Sadly though, I might add Kane or Dupage back to my list by the end of the year.

One of my ancestors was George Schultheis... in Illinois there's a building named George Schultheis Building.... does anybody know that???
Please, you must help me!!!
Perhaps he had children... or some descendents still live...

You will likely do better posting on genealogy.com or rootsweb.com for a query. You may get a hook up.

Tips:

I did find a george schultheis, wife: minnie age 28, Dalla (?) age 7 daughter and a son Arthur (?) age 1 in Adams county in the 1870 census.

Also there are a few george schultheis mentioned on the web in that county:

1859 Adams County City Directory

Early German Settlers in Adams County

Also the name is spelled in various records as well: SCHULTIES

So it helps to look under possible mis-pellings when you are looking for genealogical information.

Prairie Farmer has some great records to research also. In the late-1800's they published county directories listing every land owner.
