I heard this one for the first time a few years ago..

F.I.S.H.T.A.B:

swear word...Illinois...swear word...Head...Towing...A...Boat.

In a sentence "There goes another "Fishtab" driving 80 and tailgating the guy in front of him.

Hey flatlanders don't shoot the messanger, BTW years ago I heard you guys calling the State Line the Cheddar Curtain, that's actually funny and I like hearing it so keep it up FIBS!

Illinois drivers do that in Wisconsin? In Michigan, the Illinois drivers don't go faster than 65 and feel the need to camp out in the left lane of the freeway causing traffic backups.

I think we can all agree that the timid Minnesota drivers are the worst since they seem to be always driving under the limit and holding on the steering wheel like their life depends on it.

When I lived in WI for a while, I first heard the "FIB" moniker, and had to ask a native what it meant. In New England, you might hear the "flatlander" term being used by northern New Englanders against southern NE, especially MA, but even now this is quite rare, and usually only spoken by the most parochial of people. Pretty embarrassing, really..

Now that I no longer live in the Midwest I feel comfortable commenting. I lived in both Illinois and Wisconsin. I'll take Wisconsin every day of the week. Better more sensible people, better manners and better attitudes. Not the FIB's that flee to Wisconsin for their vacations to dump their trash and attitudes and head home to their pressure cooker lives. Besides Illinois at the rate it's going will be bankrupt anyway. Especially with the dump of a city known as Chicago. I grew up there when it was a decent place but today you can flush the toilet as far as I'm concerned. Won't be through there the remainder of my life thankfully. Wisconsin on the other hand remains in a high place in my memory.......the place, the people, the land and the water. All more than just refreshing as compared to being south of that border.

Wait, are you serious? Do you know what’s going on in the world? You talk about Illinois being bankrupt and Chicago being a dump. Chicago is a global destination. 55 million tourists last year. Makes 609 billion dollars annually. So it’s just enough to keep Illinois afloat. Speaking of which, why don’t you talk about California going bankrupt? They owe 1 trillion, possibly more in unfunded pensions. Texas? It’s going bankrupt. How about New York City? And on and on. Every city known to mankind has areas that are an eyesore. I hate to say this but do you even know what Chicago looks like? Because you sound like you don’t. Sorry, but it needed to be said...

Didn't New York City declare bankruptcy in 1975?
