I am assuming that you are referring to Kroger in Indianapolis? No Kroger in the southeastern USA, where I am now, has anything remotely resembling Roselyn baked goods.

Well, since this thread is specifically about Indianapolis, yes, I am.

I remember Willis Mortuary which was founded in 1890 by Cassius M. Clay Willis, the first African-American undertaker/funeral director in the state. The mortuary was located at what was formerly 632-634 North West Street (now Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street. This landmark building is part of Indianapolis' historic westside black cultural trail.

I was ticked off when Hardee's bought Burger Chef back in the early 1980s, but now Hardee's is probably my favorite fast-food burger joint.

And, Little Flower is still going strong, but no longer has Franciscan nuns teaching in the school.

How about Raceway Park on Friday nights, Speedrome on Saturday night, followed by burgers and draft at Big Daddy's Lounge by the old eastgate shopping center.
Does anybody remember "Mr. Mike" the newspaper man at Washington and Meridian? Or Brother Junipers or Ted and Marges for breakfast on Mass. Ave?

In 1969 I dated a girl named Gloria, that tended bar at Aristo's. These were real good times.
