I was way off-base, like 40+ blocks off. I remember it a little as Rosa Corona but never saw it as KG.

North Central class of '65.

Wow....I remember the beep lines. Actually met the nicest boy who lived on the opposite side of town from me. He had been in a really bad car accident and had maybe even a body cast to begin with... We talked all through his recovery and then finally met in person months later. No real romantic connection but we were friends. Hadn't thought of that for years....thanks.

Default west side restaurant from 1980s

I lived in Indianapolis on the West side 1978-1982. There was a really good restaurant that back then was out in the country. Now I am sure it is all subdivisions. Good homestyle food and really good pies. I lived near 59th and Georgetown, and this place was west of there. It think its name was something like Garman's or Garner's. Does anyone else remember it? It is driving me crazy!

I'm trying to remember the name of the indoor putt putt/pizza place we used to take our kids to for birthday parties. Not Chuckie Cheese. It was around 96th street, if I remember correctly. Anyone?

Cafeteria style? That was probably Garmens, previously Horners Cafeteria for many years. Jack Horner owned it and sold it when he retired to Garmen. I washed dishes there when I was in high school, can still remember some of the menu items.

Now that you mention it might be spelled Garmans. Was on Lafayette Rd and Shanghai Dr as I recall. Pies were terrific, they made a Shoefly pie that was awesome. Fried catfish, chicken and dumplings and roast beef all good.

Been in Indy since 1958 and I remember most of the places mentioned. That's a pretty long time. Brings back a lot of memories, a tear to my eye and a smile to my face.
