Aside from the weather factor, I too am wondering what are the not for everyone points, as I too may be making a move to there possibly. Jax specifically, and possibly different circumstances for living, age group, and exact location.

I will keep reading the threads to learn what I can.

To each their own. We moved to PVB from NJ in 2015 and love it here. People like to complain about the weather but in all honesty, unless you're standing on black asphalt all day long, it's not going to kill you. And yea, if you don't like being outdoors, going to the beach, restaurants etc. then it'll be boring for you. Don't know what more people want around here....

Not sure if you mis-read my post - I'm interested in hearing what non-weather points were implied by the prior comment to which I responded.

But speaking of weather, some say the same about the weather where I currently am in NC - that it's too hot or humid, but for me the hot temps here are quite to my liking, and I would expect I would personally feel the same for JAX.

As far as weather, think of it this way: You can either crawl to the mailbox in the heat for a few months, or shovel your way to it up North where we came from. Each to his own.
