The good news is there are some SERIOUS bicycle racing clubs for all levels in Jacksonville. Contact Champion Cycle at any location for more info and a lot of great rides. My favorite is Jax Beach to St Augustine on A1A on sunday morning (about 40 miles) but I get a ride back after spending time at the Tradewinds; but there are several hard core riding groups who make the whole circuit from Jax without stopping. Some riders in their 80's. Also fun rides over to Gainesville through the Mayberry towns on old railroad tracks. That''s a great ride too, but need a sleepover, plus you can connect with groups who go interstate and stay at hostels. Some make it to Key West, but I would bypass Miami.

Thank you so very much for your post...It's really nice to know these things. Hey I don't mind dating older guys...or younger ones (37-45)...Jacksonville sounds like a fun place to live after all...
