Google Dr. Lakebrink. He is awesome, highly recommended. Friendly people, an office that doesn't look like a torture chamber.

I had the hardest time finding a good dentist when I moved here!

I go to:

Dr. Joy Miller
4628 North Oak Trafficway
Kansas City, MO 64116
816-452-5800

Very friendly staff, good customer service, and what I liked even better - she knows what's she's doing!

I have had a hard time finding a dentist that doesnt take over an hour for a cleaning. It seems like everytime I go to the dentist I end up waiting for a while and then sit in the chair forever waiting for the dentist to come see me after the hygenist is done.

I am very pleased with Dr. Grant Smith on North Oak. I've been going to him for several years:

9501 North Oak Trafficway #205
816-436-2242

He's in with another dentist, but I much prefer Dr. Smith. The dental hygienists are very nice and gentle. Maybe there's something wrong with me, but I always find it a relaxing experience. And you're usually done in 30 minutes!
Good luck!

What is it that makes you think a dentist is "good"? How do you know if the quality of dentistry is actually good? Or if the dental hygienist is actually good? I'm a former dental hygienist and currently see a dentist based on a recommendation from someone who worked for him and could actually see his work. I've really been wondering how I'm going to get this kind of insider info down there. I've gotten recommendations on other healthcare providers from insiders as well - the kind of network I don't have down there.
