There's a radio station in Tampa that held a contest. 12 people chosen and all they had to do was keep a hand or foot touching the huge Hannah statue and had only 12 minute breaks every 3 hours. The winner would get 4 tickets, 2 back stage passes and $5,000. Well after 6 days/nights a man and women were left. The lady got distracted and let go accidentally. But the man was nice enough to give her the 2 back stage passes and he split the $5000. I though that was pretty nice of the guy to do.

Cool story!

I think it's great that people are going nuts for Hannah Montana. She's a good role model for young girls.

and we thought that was all we would see of achy breaky heart! Iagree good role model her dad recalls singing bluegrass gospels growing up ,singing is better then praying i say. they even have gospel singing on tuesdy nights here at the Mcdonald's.
Every year my wife, my now nine year old daughter and I would go on vacation . we would spend three days at Disney World and three days on the mountan .I was trying to show her the diffrence between the real word and the plastic world .

she was four years old when i asked her what she wanted to be when she grows up
she replied with a Red-neck Princess! The best of both worlds. i guess she got it.

Smile What lovely stories to share. Thanks, y'all.

EVERYBODY has a wonderful story on this thread!!

I enjoyed them all. Thank you.

Hiknapster, I am soooo happy that you were able to get the tickets. They must have been sold out within the hour.

Daniellefort, isn't that wonderful that someone would have a heart big enough to share his winnings! How often do you hear a story like that? Not often enough for me. Thanks for sending that along to all of us. We need to hear about good, honest people every now and then to keep our spirits up and going.

Halfback, I bet your little redneck princess gets lots of hugs and kisses from her mom and dad. I would be sooo proud of a child with those values that you have taught her deep in her heart.

I cannot imagine walking into a McDonalds and hearing everyone singing gospel songs. That would be a miracle in itself. I love to hear stories like these. Touches the heart.

Gem,

What's going on with your land purchase? I think I might have missed your last post somewhere. You all were up here meeting with people last I heard. Is the land yours yet?

Yes, do tell, Gem! I've been keeping my nose firmly to the grindstone this week, so I've missed all the gossip. Facts, rumors, innuendos, everybody share all!

GBH, me too! What a busy workweek! I have hardly been able to come up for air. What else is new with you?

I actually bought a lottery ticket tonight; which I never do!

You must be feeling lucky, SMG. If you win, a round of holiday drinks is on you! I know what I'm getting-- a hot toddy, and the hotter the better. Brrr....
