Thanks for the tips, mystic!

Lauren seems a bit better. Temp has dropped a bit and she is out in the family room and talking. Fred just came home so that perked us all up, a bit.

I know what you mean, gailli. I am quite sure that if I ever get my mom down here it will be too late to enjoy it. But I really doubt she will ever move here. I haven't seen her in 12 years.

SMG--Thanks! I may very well do that! I was diagnosed right after my first sone, but didn't surprise us at all, and the Endocrinologist said that he thought I had probably had it for at least 5 years prior (I went a few years with no health insurance or anything but had been in the hospital twice and had been noted with high sugar both times) When I was pregnant with my first son, they labeled me gestationally diabetic and then later found out it had been there all along. It has made some parts of life quite difficult...it is a cruddy disease

I just pray every night that none of my boys get it.

Sorry to rant on like that! EEK!

Hope everyone had a great day, and Hik, I hope Lauren is still doing better.

When Lauren is home. She's still sick. Fred was going to stay home with her but can't and I am not feeling all that great, anyway.

It's out of her chest, but man, her nose is really running.

Thanks! I am feeling kind of better and she seems a bit better.

She was really sick when she was a baby with allergies. This is the second worse sickness she has had. She is usually over a cold in a couple of days. I truly thought I was going to have to run to the hospital on Saturday. At one point, her temp was 101.3. She also says she is achy so it may be the flu. First time she has had it. And no, she did not get the flu shot.

I am back !!!! We moved. A zillion boxes everywhere. Some chilly rain on Saturday was not fun but most of it was at least in the house. We loaded the rental truck on Friday and spent the night at our daughters so that by 7 am on Sat they were ready to get up and drive it here and unpack. It poured Friday night. Well back to the house. Comcast came today so now I can get back online. Rooms are semi put together. Still lots of boxes and we keep saying to each other..........now where did you put this???

Life is good. Neighbors quiet. And I already met the lady acrossed the street. That is important to me as you may know from here. I want to make friends.

Anyway now back to returning apartment keys, spending more money, so I better go to the bank.

Closing went well. They were changing the settlement statement 30 minutes before closing.

I will be back later. All take care.

Mystic I think, or whoever it was with diabetes, my daughter is almost 30 and has had been a type 1 since age 5. I kind of know some ins and outs and will be glad to listen if you or anyone else has questions.

Tn405- You'll whittle those boxes down in no time. So glad to hear the closing went well. Hope you find as much contentment and peace in Knoxville as Bill and I have!
