Having just moved here, I would say H.O.A. fees that seem a little too high. Car registration fees are up there too.

People who live here that constantly say how bad it sucks to live here. So far in the 9 months I've lived here I haven't seen any gates or fences keeping them here. I run into 3 or 4 people a day who talk about how much they hate living here. I used to hate people who lived in Costa Rica and bad mouthed the place the whole time. When I found myself becoming one of those people I left.

LOW temps of 85 and above for about 60 days straight in mid-summer which basically means you almost never open your windows. The heat island effect is getting out of hand, I remember back in the early 90s it got down below 80 or even 75 virtually every night making it pleasant out until 9am. Now I pretty much would say its never pleasant unless there was a good thunderstorm during the day.

The first few years the summers were brutal...now? I look forward to summer. Twisted! I know! I love the weather here. You can always get out and do something...I love that. Even when it's hot plan on getting out in the morning or evening when the sun goes down. After summer the rest of the year is great.

Let me tell you a little trick about the wind...it's usually a result from the sun warming up the earth...so 9/10 it won't be windy first thing in the morning. So get out in the morning!

"Wind is one way that the atmosphere moves excess heat around. Directly and indirectly, wind forms for the primary purpose of helping to transport excess heat in one of two ways: away from the surface of the Earth or from warm regions(tropics) to cooler regions. This is done by extratropical cyclones, monsoons, trade winds, and hurricanes. Now, you have the answer to what causes wind and its primary function on our planet."

AS far as the Strip goes...I can live in my own little desert world away from it if I wish.

So my only issue would be crime.

1. The giant cockroaches in the summertime that despite BB's spraying, they still find their way in from time to time scaring the heck out of me.
2. The hot summers that never seem to end.
3. The huge electric bills from the summers that never end.
4. Inattentive driver's swerving all over the place because they are texting while driving.
5. People that constantly harp on how terrible Vegas or the people are here. If you hate it, LEAVE!!! And shut up already. (there, i feel better.)

Like I said, a lot of stupid uneducated people in Las Vegas, hehehehe. That is what I dislike about Las Vegas but if the thread asked about what I like about Las Vegas, I would gladly enumerate things I love about Las Vegas.

The fact that Howard Hughes and Paul Laxalt ruined the best state in the country.

Also, the last 1.5 million ID-10-T's that moved here looking for a deal on houses that they were running up in value by coming here in the first place.

The massive lack of common sense in an alarmingly large proportion of people I run into here.
