Now that stinks!

I didn't think we had the peak/off peak thing here? YET. Am I wrong?

this morning, while sipping coffee on the balcony, i notice a uniformed A/C tech service my downstairs neighbor's A/C unit.

i didn't pay much attention until i went to turn the air on for a bit at 230pm. and there is no cool air coming out of the vents.

go down to the unit to inspect and my a/c fuse box is missing its fuse!!!

go talk to the neighbor and he says that they indeed received service and they replaced the filter and a 'loose wire'. and that the bill was given to his landlord.

i'd bet my right arm, my fuse is in their box.

i have a call into the tech shop. we'll see what they have to say.

i'm going to try to find a fuse and put a frickin lock on the box.

GGGGGRRRRRRR
Call the repair company, and bluff... tell them that you have on your cell phone a picture of the repair guy at your box... see what happens

Walked into our office this morning to find the ambient temperature at 100 degrees... We didn't care for that... neither did our computers. Called the property owner and she had someone out and had it fixed quickly. Yay!

Now our A/C at home is squealing... Dang, not a good day for air conditioners...

Stay cool, everyone.

That's a good deal LVD, I enjoyed all three! The Titanic artifacts were my favorite.

Go ahead and treat yourself..

Also, for anyone who wants to know...all the Egyptian artifacts they had at the Luxor (when it was the original Luxor, before Criss Angel) are on display at the Natural History Museum, that exhibit there is real interesting as well.

Copper Thieves Target Air Conditioning Units

More of an issue for empty homes. Thieves cost homeowners $2k in damage per condenser to steal $80 of copper.

Who is paying them for the copper? Are places that accept scrap metal just turning a blind eye to ripped out AC parts?

What's going on here!!! I woke up at 6pm today, no Air! My unit is 14 years old. Went to my neighbor to ask if they knew anyone to call. Luck! Owner knew a retired Navy guy, he called him, came over an hour later, assessed I need a new motor @$365.

He'll be here tomorrow morning at 11am. I normally sleep from 10a-6p, so I'll just have to stay up a bit later tomorrow morning!
