Does anyone ever notice that the "Gumby" character on Fremont street looks like a giant green eraser?

The only times I should have avoided jaywalking was in Australia and England, where you can get confused, and look to the right, rather than the left, to cross the street.

Is there something I'm missing here?

Tonite, walking the ferret on the Strip, I saw a half-dozen tourists, scooting across the Boulevard, from the Wynn to the Fashion Mall to TI, because it's shorter than going up and down the bridges, and all that additional walking. Can hardly blame them!
My guess is there was more to the story than just a nice guy crossing the wrong part of the street if he was pulling out knives at the police.

Yes thats right - if you wave a knife, the punishment should be that you're killed by firing squad

The show last night was great! Even had an opening act who was pretty damn funny. Then after the show, I sat down at a Wizard of Oz slot machine to kill some time and let the parking lot empty out; almost immediately,I hit a small random "red slippers" bonus for $55 and change. Since that just about covered the cost of the ticket, I decided to cash out at once and go fight the parking lot traffic jam (which wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.)

All in all, a very nice evening.

Now I'm off to Wynn to play some poker.

won $1250 (3rd quarter score) tonight on a $100 SuperBowl box pool at my local pub. Subtract the $40 spent on the 4 squares lost in the $10 box pool...and that's a net profit of $1110...including free buffet and open bar. Not a bad night, at all.

Thank goodness for that 1st quarter safety!

I thought about that safety in terms of the Giants winning, too, jfk! Where would that game have gone without it?

Heee heee I was giants all the way. the bar where we went were all Patriots, so I was the only one standing when they asked who were for the giants. I had a long talk with my grandson about the players and told him why the Giants would win. He plays football and his other Grampa is a diehard fan ot the Pats. I told him go the giants and you will be right.
At the last min. He realized Grandma was right, and now I have Cred.
Plus we got all kinds of swag for betting on the right team etc. Kaison now thinks his gma is "awesome"
