There's more to this rioting than meets the eye! In La Mesa, outside San Diego, there were Blacks, Whites and Asians partaking in the destruction.

Lockdown, definitely, contributed to the destruction.
Maybe "the revolution" has arrived; maybe the have-nots figured out that capitalism has exploited them into dust. We'll see.

You need to learn how the country works and why we have the EC. SMH

I futilely tried to explain to my Canadian Snowbird neighbors what the Electoral College was all about and they had nothing but puzzled looks on their faces, as an Electoral College is unknown in Canada. All elections: by popular vote.

The Electoral College DID NOT go up against the popular vote.

The popular vote is irrelevant. NO candidate for President focuses on the popular vote. At least, no intelligent candidate.

Capitalism is responsible for raising more human beings out of abject, bone-crushing poverty than any other invention of Mankind. It is a powerful force for good - using market forces to provide incentive to reallocate capital from failing and sub-optimal uses towards higher value-add uses is key both to economic freedom and political freedom.

And now it's all going backwards to zero or below zero. At least that's what I've picked up from reading The Economist magazine every week.

All the problems we have are a direct result of government interference in capitalism.

You could get a different perspective if you read a variety of news sources. Just this week there have been some interesting developments in employment and the stock market.
