Happy Birthday! You are always so positive, you should have no problem finding something soon! Good Luck!

Happy 21+X Birthday, MovingOn. I bet those were alligator tears your boss had. Best of luck on the job hunt. I really haven't been looking. Between getting over losing my apartment, discovering that he stole some of my stuff, a nasty cold/flu that I'm finally getting over, and other things; I really haven't looked for a job. I'm not looking for anything fancy. I just need enough to be able to pay some rent to my surrogate family, and have some pocket money.

Jackie's getting hit by a car last week was the icing on the cake. Unless something major happens, I'm going to let my surrogate family kidnap me and my dogs (their description ), and move to Western Oregon. No, I haven't become a Vegas hater. There are a lot of factors in my decision. I have more bad memories than good here, and you guys count among the good. I haven't been able to find/hold a decent job, and I hate how you have to go on twenty interviews just to get a job flipping burgers. I've tried applying at the various hotels, and they won't even call me for an interview. Yes, I've tried the locals hotel/casinos as well.

At this point in my life a slower paced, more rural lifestyle seems ideal. Besides having rain and green trees works for me, and I'm tired of seeing panhandlers on every corner and off ramp. We're looking at the Lebanon/Albany area.

I've also discovered that I've got a lot of family on my father's side living in the area, and I'd like to connect with them. I'm also thinking about changing my last name back to my birth name of Weyhe.

What about my sister? She's fine with it, and plans to move to Orlando, FL. What can I say, she's a Mouse Head.

This'll take at least a year before it happens, so you'll all have to put up with me for awhile yet.

In a way, I am sad to hear this. You at least owe us members one last DDO meeting on the strip which I am currently setting up for April. If you do move to Oregon, I at least hope you are happy and things are better for you. I consider you a good friend and have high hopes for you regardless.

Don't worry, I won't just disappear. This won't happen for one year, maybe two. Even so, I'll still come back here to report on life in Western Oregon. Why a DDO on the Strip, my friend? That's just so...touristy.

We are looking at a meeting at a bar somewhere on the strip once the weather warms up in April. I have been getting multiple requests from other members to go forward with it so I will. I am choosing the strip since it is close to my house. I can not drive to DDO meetings for obvious reasons.

The soonest that this would happen would be next June, so we've got plenty of time yet. No worries on your driving, just rely on your friendly neighborhood gypsy cab.

Off to the Surgery in the AM...Going to get the spine rejiggered.

All good vibes accepted.

Should be back on the net in a day or two.

If the gods smile I may go sailing again

I am thinking of the bar inside Bill's as it is cheap and they have tons of seating. One thing though, it has to be on a Thursday or Friday since I work every other night of the week.
