Instead of closing down the 2 towers in Sahara, it's too bad the government doesn't pay Sahara a discounted rate and house the homeless for the 'slow season' in gaming. There are enough empty rooms to take care of a lot of people!

I am going to post this here. As I have said before, I bought a brand new Samsung 1080p LCD television on Black Friday. I bought it to replace the Sony Wega flat screen CRT television I had, which is the older heavy type television. I thought I would put it on the craigslist free section, and donate it to a needy family. I try to be a philanthropist, but this was a challenge to say the least. I got email after email asking if I was for real. I managed to get flagged down and removed within about 15 minutes. I gave it to a needy family. At least I think I did, but who knows if they were lying to me. I got less than 10 emails to chose from before my ad was fllagged and removed.

That is a great suggestion! Now that's the kind of creative thinking this town needs!

Why did they flag and remove? Only because it was free? Wow.

Because it was in the free section, and it was a nice working television. Most, if not all of the free stuff is junk. I assume some people thought the ad was fake, and I was a scammer some how, so they flagged me down.

Would the government maintain the towers so that they would be usable in the future?

I tried to give away two complete working satellite dishes for Dish Network and my ad got flagged and deleted. Some people with too much time on their hands just can't believe anyone would want to get rid of something of non-zero value so badly that they're willing to just give it away.

How about next time in the free section add... "free OBO" Just a thought. I have stuff that I would like to give away and a friend and I are planning a garage sale too. I refuse to price things. If someone walks up and says "How much do you want for it?" I'm going to say, "What will you give me for it?" Sometimes it works out better that way.

Would the police patrol the casino so that nothing else is stolen or people harassed?
Would the Health Department be involved?
Would the homeless then have an address where they would receive their welfare checks thus the welfare department coming to the casino to verify that they live there?
After getting their welfare money, would they be banned from gambling?
If they gamble the money, would they be able to get comps from the casino?
How hard would it be to kick them out once the casino decides to reopen?
Now that they have shelter, hot water, showers, food, will they look for work?
And if they find work/a job they can move out, could they not?
And if they don't get a job or even try, they should be thrown out or sent to jm0405 house!

Next time if there is a next time, for any things you want to give away for free, just list them on the Pass it on or Las Vegas treasures site. passitonlv2 : KeepPassingItOnLV
LasVegasTreasures : Las Vegas Treasures

For anyone wanting to give things away that is too good to throw away, you can list them on both sites, and also request things within reason(no cars, or big ticket items).
Also when the weather warms up, the Pass it on site may start holding their monthly get-togethers again as long as there is interest in more than just a few people to do this. Potluck picnic in the park type of thing. And of course everyone brings things to give away.
If you sign up and haven't been there yet, just put down that you are from the C-D site and you should get approved right away.
