Lookin for suggestions for safe and affordable neighborhoods in the $110k to 129K range inside (or just outside) the circle. No kids but education is important to value anyway.
Thank you.

That price range should buy you a smaller 1950s house in Southland, a stable, safe and desirable southside neighborhood inside New Circle between Nicholasville and Harrodsburg Roads (on both sides of Clays Mill Road), with lots of schools, churches, and shopping conveniently at hand.

Southland houses are predominately brick, with a fair number of stone or siding houses, and range from two to four bedrooms. Most have hardwood floors, many have fireplaces, and most are Cape Cods or ranges. Most lots have mature trees and other landscaping, and there are many street trees. Southland Park, with its playground, pool, ball park, and tennis courts is nearby as well..

Southland, Twin Oaks, Gardenside are all good bets. Well rounded schools, easy to sell when that time comes. A little further out New Circle, I'd look at Monticello.

The south end has the most well rounded school districts across all price ranges....meaning you can get a good elementary/middle/high combination pretty easy.

Make that "ranches", not "ranges" in my post above about house styles in Southland.

Home on the range - and Easter dinner in and on the range - led me astray. Mea culpa!

I've lived in Meadowthorpe for four years and I have no complaints. It's mostly older houses, but it's a nice, safe, neighborhood and only minutes from downtown.
