Every community has low class people in it. There is nothing wrong with most of Ronkonkoma. Connetquot SD is a good school district. The airport is really a non-starter. Lindenhurst is near Republic Airport and while its not an airport with scheduled service it does have air traffic.

i have a question for site members out there. i was told that long island water was dirty & gives women breast cancer. is that true? is having a filter at home enough to drink the water? do i need an inground filter as well? is water in lindenhurst clean?

My wife works for Suffolk county water and says the water is up to strict standards. Stay away from well water...never drink from the tap in places like Fire Island...you will die.

Everywhere else is completely fine...not sure where you're getting your information.

Isnt tap water on FI coming from SCWA?

They test it at SCWA and it is awful. Also places that do their own water sometimes have larger issues because of lesser standards. Greenlawn got into trouble not too long ago.
