fios leaving Long Island (New York, Nassau: buy, price, stores)

Apparently Fios closed the Nassau and Suffolk stores and one my my neighbors said they he heard a rumor that fios is leaving long island. I can't imagine that happening but thought I would throw it out there. Anyone else hear of this?
