There's a Groupon available for this restaurant but when I looked them up on Yelp it says they're closed. I called the number on their website and the Groupon site and it said the number I called is incorrect. Why would there be a Groupon for them if they're closed? Anybody drive past them recently and know if they're really closed? Thanks.

Their website says they are closed and not sure when they will be able to reopen! I heard they had really good food and prices, too bad!

Clearwater Charlie's - Home

Sounds like either a Building Dept code violation or Board of Health violation, per the words "AS-IS" but that is strictly a guess.

If they are still offering catering its not likely a board of health violation as that would shut down the kitchen as well.

Thanks guys! I figured they were closed I just wasn't sure since there was a Groupon out! Wonder how many people bought it without checking their website or reviews!

You can get refund if place of business is closed. I did. Contact Groupon. Place was supposedly closed for vacation for 2 weeks in July. They never re-opened. Hope is not Board of Health violation as we ate there often. Says they can not open AS-IS is pretty vague and can mean anything.

As for catering. From my understanding is they were doing catering before ever opening the restaurant. Likely they went back to only exclusively catering for whatever reason. Would be scared to get catering from anyone that had restaurant closed due to Board of Health violation!!

Anyone know where we can look up WHY there really closed if not just for personal reasons? Maybe area has too high rent as Jimmy Jacks restaurant up the road also recently closed and they were each others competition. Either way just saying might also be landlord.

Kitchen they use for catering is likely at home or at least not on-site at same restaurant.

Clearwater Charlies was NOT closed due to Board of Health reasons. They simply closed and continue to do catering.
