No, it will just be canceled.

That is a good point - one suspects that is the reason for the sensational (and ghoulish) media's current focus on cases out west (because the deaths back east are petering out).

The media will always search out bad news even as the situation greatly improves (LI, NYC, MA, etc.) in many areas. Given TDS, that is now more true than ever.

It does seem the media is hoping the breathlessly reported western cases turn into increased deaths so they can revel in some sort of a macabre and twisted (and TDS) gotcha moment.

We are number one in the world with new infections and number 2 in deaths at the moment, wasn't the goal to flatten the curve. The goal hasn't changed but our its our behavior that changed with the reopening. We have states that have more infections than the entire European Union. Europe has reopened schools and businesses smartly while we remain months behind. Do you want to make it like March again in NY , is that the goal, ignore the health guidelines and all will be fine.

So we should just ignore the results in Arizona, Texas and Florida that just reopened, ignore 9,000 new infections per day with hospitals overwhelmed because we are immune. Sure we will turn out differently.

Can you imagine how many people could be working right now if this administration was worth a damn? These unemployment numbers could be way lower and half the country wouldn’t be on the brink of another disaster.

I saw on TV that people are somehow equating "reopening" with "the virus is gone". The virus didn't go anywhere, it just shifted responsibility from the government to the people.

And sadly, people are proving to be irresponsible.

What's next? There really is no Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy?
